British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) is the national governing body for university sport in the UK. We support and promote the lifestyle and educational benefits to communities and individuals of taking part in sport, and provide outstanding opportunities to all students to engage in sport and related activity in higher education. We deliver more than 50 sports, from grass roots participation right through to performance level sport on the international stage. We have over 170 member institutions, who compete in our extensive programme of over 800 leagues with some 5800 teams, and over 120 championship events every year.
Applicants should be at university and looking for an internship in industry as part of their course or graduating from university in mid-2018. This role is suited to those who are studying for a degree in the fields of marketing, communications, business or sports. By applying for the role you are stating that you are eligible to work in the UK for the duration of the contract. There can be no guarantee of securing further employment with BUCS when the fixed term expires.
Main purpose of role
- Assist in delivering the Marketing and Communications plan for the business covering content marketing, communications, graphic design and digital marketing development.
- Contribute to the goal of the Marketing and Communications team to raise the profile of BUCS and higher education sport.
- Provide holistic marketing and communications support for the wider BUCS office.
